The first of the season, on the first decent-weather day.
This was a loop that hopped a bunch of standard trails, and I thought this went up the big elevation rise that gives you the nice view of the Allegheny—the dashed blue line on the top left there. But as you can see, our path veered west onto another trail before it got really bad.
There’s only one photo, and Son of Jay actually took it, as we were walking over a bridge over troubled waters.

He did a good job.
He did! For a second of work it’s good. When we got to the bridge there was an old timer setting up a camera on a tripod a bit downstream, so maybe Son of Jay was inspired from that?
