Wednesday Humpday Midday Music: The Sparkle Blues – Two Heart Summer

A band I played guitar for got the upload treatment to a bunch of streaming services.
Lo-fi power pop mixed with metalcore with a vintage flair. I didn’t play guitar on all of these tracks, since they are from recordings at different points in the band’s history. “Chick Invisible” is one of my favorites.

  • Was the failure of vocal blending intentional? I get that the lead singer is rarely on pitch as a means of expression, but that first song really sounded like it was written with a distinct harmony in mind.

    • It probably was intentional, but I don’t remember the specifics. Aside from the actual recording part, I wasn’t privvy to a lot of the production work otherwise.
