
This is more west than north, I think, since the “triangle” of downtown Pittsburgh points northwest, and the side of the building I was on pointed squarely at the Point.
Two notable landmarks without visible branding are PPG Place on the left—the tall, reflective, Batman-looking building, AKA, the Glass Palace—and the square, tree-lined clearing below it and to the right: Market Square.

On Google Earth, it appears that the triangle of Fort Duquesne points very nearly west, just a few degrees north of it.
That’s true. You’ll notice the downtown streets are diagonal, so if you’re facing the same way the buildings are facing, you’re going at an angle relative to where Ft. Duquesne points.
