PPG Place

Photo: View from Forbes Garage

This is facing west and a little north, towards Point State Park, at the confluence. If you’re unfamiliar, that Batman-looking building behind the The New Fidelity Building is PPG Place, maybe the most recognizeable item on the Pittsburgh skyline. The other ones aren’t so obvious. This is more west than north, I think, since the “triangle” of downtown Pittsburgh points northwest, and the side of the building I was on pointed squarely at the Point. Two notable landmarks without visible branding are PPG Place on the left—the tall, reflective, Batman-looking building, AKA, the Glass Palace—and the square, tree-lined clearing below Photo: Pittsburgh Northwest Skyline

A few recent shots. The first is not at night, but early morning, walking through Point State Park off the eastern side of Route 279, facing east-northeast. The Wyndham Hotel is in the (sort of) center, the Batman-cowl looking building on on its right is PPG Place. The gray-striped building I believe are the Gateway Photos: Wyndham Grand Hotel, PNC Park
