Had dinner at Emerson’s with this charming young lady. Check out the awkward mid-mouth opening in the background:
Emerson’s menu used a monospaced font: an unusual for menus, or anything that isn’t a government document. Courier and other fonts of that ilk scratch an itch in my brain that really likes automatic line justification. Emerson’s had to do it right and display the menu on their site in HTML when I was hoping for once that someone offered it as a clunky PDF:

As a former school teacher, I can tell you that most people spell that word incorrectly. And I’m glad you shared the photo of your date.
You know what’s also bad? I’ve seen “misspell” misspelled often, with only one “s.” Something about the word causes people to ignore the second “s.”
