Despite there being a ton of vendors at the World of Oddities Expo, I didn’t get as many pictures as I’ve done with other conventions. It was far less costume-based, so I was left with more or less taking photos of things that were for sale. Not necessarily bad, but it can be limiting and repetitive. Additionally, much of the merchandise held cartoonishly neo-pagan imagery, and oftentimes it was outright repulsive. I ain’t taking photos of that.
Rather unexpected, and probably the grossest thing I photographed, I like the glaring eye of the moose (or whatever animal) on the right:
I don’t know if this was a manipulatable Rubik’s cube, or just for decoration. All the sides looked to have the same color, and there’s no puzzle in that:
Steampunk-inspired lamps, with a Mountain Dew photo bomb on the left:
These were neat fully-articulated dragons. I can’t tell if they were 3D printed or wooden, but maybe they were all different:
An array of animal bones and exoskeletal remains:
Interesting circular wood carvings. Most of the items were drink coasters, but they had larger designs meant for wall decoration:
I wish I got photos of the other side, with the actual coasters. Fortunately, the fellow who does Thorned Rose Gifts has plenty of photos.

I could see owning a lamp with a big alarm bell on it.
I personally would’ve gone for the crow lamp. The octopus one to the left looks nice, but the saw blade would make me wary.
Did Elena go with you? Seems like she would have enjoyed it
She did go with me…she’s the one who wanted to go in the first place. She bought a coyote skull for pretty cheap.
That is some really cool stuff, I like the paper dragon thing.
The dragons were made of wood, or they were 3D printed. Elena bought a small keychain dragon…I’m going to send it to a lab for analysis.
