In the grand scheme of things, oatmeal isn’t that terrible of a non-keto food if you’re going to indulge. It has protein, decent fiber, and it hits a spot during cold weather days. But I wanted something that I’d feel better about if I ate it more regularly.
I wanted to call this the glop from The Matrix, but I may get dummies commenting or (more likely) emailing me how inaccurate this is (“there’s no way they had chia seeds on the Nebuchadnezzar!”). This recipe isn’t French cuisine but it’s not a bowl of mystery sludge, either, so no Matrix invocations here.
This recipe might be good scaled up and made in big batches if you’re into making food ahead of time for the week. The measurements listed here yielded a little more than I really needed for one sitting, so I may try making a huge batch for a work week and doling out maybe a 3/4 cup for a serving. I’m not a big guy so this exact recipe might suit normal-sized dudes.

Fortified dairy mixture that tastes like Reese’s — I can see that.
To be honest, it doesn’t taste like Reese’s, but that’s a decent goal. I’m going to futz with the recipe to get it to taste like something familiar.
What makes it spicy?
Your face makes it spicy.
I guess I should call it “spiced” because it’s not really hot. The ginger and cloves can give it a strong taste.
