I originally did this in the microwave but it turns out so much better on the stovetop.
The macronutritional profile makes it a pretty good fat bomb meal:
720 calories (200 from peanut butter, 120 from protein powder, 400 from cream)
59g fat
31g protein
6g carbs
As always, I use Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard whey protein. The flavor seen here in these somewhat unappetizing photo was strawberry and cream.
I can’t find any other sugarless peanut butter other than what Skippy has, and I can only get one of the small jars. Ounce for ounce it’s more expensive than the normal sugared peanut butter. I could probably get something bigger at like Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods but at an astronomical price. Would it really be all that much better, anyway?
Eating it hot is fine but refrigerating it makes it like fudge:
You could use a 1/3 cup of cream and it’ll end up something like oatmeal? Like this photo. It’s okay, but I prefer the pudding version.
