Ben Pike, an old fellow writer from the Buzzgrinder days, emailed me out of the blue with a photo. Here I am at a club in Connecticut (forget the name), probably in 2001, playing for Life In Your Way. I think we had opened for Zao, but I’m not sure. I do remember it was in the middle of summer, the place had little to no A/C, and stuffed full of young men. So, you can imagine the heat.
That PRS I’m playing—not the usual guitar I played—was Todd’s, our drummer’s, whose silhouette you can see in the background. I think it was the Carlos Santana SE version, though the fret inlays are different. The standard Santana version has a bird in various stages of flight. An interesting artistic flair.
A dump of photos from this era, about two decades ago (!), is coming soon. I have too many that need to be made public.

Now that’s a very interesting idea. I’m not sure I can even find any candid photos of me these days.
Me neither, brother. Older men aren’t really sought after for photographs 🙂
