My daughter and I went to the August 1 Pittsburgh stop of the Coheed and Cambria tour, at Stage AE’s outdoor stage.
Here’s two bad photos of Mothica and Alkaline Trio, respectively:
I realize part of it was the sound system/engineering and their tech crew, but Coheed and Cambria had one of the best, most crystal-clear live sounds I’ve ever heard for a rock/metal band. I’ve seen hundreds of bands in all types of venues and settings, and a good majority of them don’t come close. Aside from the distortion you get from the kick drum, the sound came out pretty good on my phone, for an old-ish device not getting a direct audio signal:
Not sure what the inflatable horned thing is there, but it, like the video running on the side screens, probably has something to do with the Armory Wars comics that Claudio (vocalist/guitarist) has put out.
During and after Alkaline Trio’s set, it rained briefly, and God saw fit to bless us with a double rainbow. It didn’t see the second one until looking at the photos later. The more prominent one here is the brightest one I had ever seen:

Nice shot of the double rainbow, with the perspective of the architecture under it.
That tall spiky building is part of PPG Place, a series of buildings with all-glass facades. Interesting gothic style feel to it.
You’re not kidding, that sounds sharp! Kinda made me drool a little bit.
It made me drool. Figuratively. I’m not a weirdo!
