I have no idea what this game is about, other than it’s some kind of space opera involving music as a magic system. This song plays during the final boss battle with a huge ship or robot, after which an entire planet is created. Looks like there are multiple endings for this game, not uncommon for JRPGs, so my context might be off.
The story feels large rather large in scale, and the song is comparable to the final boss in Final Fantasy VI, though that one had a lot more to it. The choral element wasn’t as big there as it is here in the Ar Nosurge song, but Nobuo Uematsu was working with a 16-bit sound system. Emulating human voices, which he did do a lot in that game, is gonna sound a little wonky.

Hmmm. A choral number is a little unusual in my experience. I checked the linked video and the music does not match the action at all. Nice song, but not a good fit.
I like it because it’s so unusual. There’s a few song/scene match ups that don’t seem quite right, but that one worked for me for some reason.
