Cool. I like the idea of common syringes is hydraulic cylinders. It’s a good kit for understanding the concept, but it’s very ungainly use of it. I’m familiar with automotive hydraulics from years of messing with cars, but it made it easier that I was actually trained and experienced with hydrology (how water flows over and under the ground). Or, you could just say I’m a ditch digger who can also design and explain the reasons for ditches. It’s part of the civil engineering stuff I picked up in the Army.
Civil engineering is fascinating. I’ve heard stories of people doing a lot of solid stuff with little materials. I wouldn’t be able to do things like that but it’s interesting to know that people can at all.

Nice Gustave Dore book art!
Hey Graham! I like it as well.
I love doing projects like that with my son. Or I used to… He’s a surly teenager now.
Don’t they always get like that? I know I did. Heck, I’m probably still in that phase 30 years later.
