Gluten-free and no-bake. I stole this from somewhere. I’m not a food photographer, either.
Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut. cashew, almond, etc., preferably no sugar added)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
- Microwave the coconut oil for 40-60 seconds.
- Combine all ingredients and mix evenly. I use one of those large rubbery spatulas and my arm. It works well.
- Melon ballers work pretty well with scooping them, but you can be weird and use your hands as well. I usually place them on a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper on top, but a plate could also work.
- Stick them in the freezer or refrigerator for a bit, and you’re done.

Boo, hiss on the microwave. Okay, not everyone is as paranoid as I am about them. 😉
Heh. Luckily, you could easily use the stove for the coconut oil. Or heck, even your hands, but that can get a little gross.
I use coconut oil as a skin lotion anyway.
I use it on my beard. A little goes a long way.
