Shut Up About ‘Whitewashing’ in Ghost in the Shell 2017
Good idea, since “cultural appropriation” is usually a one-way criticism. I didn’t like the idea of Motoko played by an Anglo actress for different reasons, but the narrator makes a decent case against it. A related video.

Questioning the “Science Says” Attitude
Someone should write a browser plugin that will replace all the “Science Says” articles with “Survey Says,” and replace any article photos with action shots of Richard Dawson. Speaking of stupid ideas…

“Survey Says” plugin? Good answer! I’d say that’s worth a good 30 points. Regarding PDFs, I would say that what’s even more offensive are Adobe Content Server Messages because that’s what Adobe Digital Editions makes use of and that program is just … horrible.
Are those messages like javascript popup/intermodal experiences, or something else? I did a quick Google of them and couldn’t quite make out what they were. “Server messages” doesn’t sound like a fun experience anyways.
I’d say they’re similar to PDFs. Nothing exactly wrong with the files as far as I’m aware – I just had to mention Adobe Digital Editions because the scrolling is so laughably bad.
Is ADE content usually consumed on a device, versus a computer? That may be part of the problem.
I’m unsure what most people use, but I used a computer.
